Some beautiful stories don't start on paper; they start with a simple feeling, right where the grass is greenest. Amidst the quiet, rolling greens of Jajabori Xibir, a gentle dream began to bloom. It started as a conversation, a shared spark between four friends: a mountaineer @shekhar_bordoloi who loved the heights, a photographer Asutosh Kashyap who loved the light, a writer Triparna who loved the quiet, and a designer @oklanto_sohiyal who loved simplicity.

What they built, together, grew into something more than just walls and a roof. It became a feeling you could sense in the gentle breeze, in the soft morning sun, and in the deep, peaceful silence.

They named it EDIN—এদিন—meaning "a day" in Assamese. But for all of us, it quickly became much more than a day. It is a moment held still, a warm space built just to celebrate three simple things: calmness, connection, and the gentle flow of life. The name also brings to mind Eden, a garden of perfect peace, showing that paradise can be found in grace, not grandeur.

EDIN was designed to be a soft pause—a place where the building doesn't overpower nature, but simply flows alongside it. Built using the honest, warm materials of bamboo and wood, simplicity is its true heart. Every line is clean, every corner feels right, and the soft, natural light and earth tones create a balance that feels both cozy and endless.

It is quiet and modern, yet feels deeply familiar, like a memory. Everything inside EDIN—from the handwoven textures to the quiet places to sit—speaks of care and peacefulness. It is a space built to breathe, to listen, and to gently remind us all that peace can be found, if we just listen closely to the natural world around us.

For us, EDIN will always be more than a project—it’s a warm memory, and a gentle reminder that even a single day can hold a whole lifetime of peace.
